here's the prompt provided from my professor ..
Final project written assignments are due in class April 30, 2014
You may write
about a professional performance you have seen, you may want to discuss
scenes from a film based upon a play that is relevant to the course
material, do scholarly research, or a dramaturgical analysis. The goal
of this writing assignment is to demonstrate your knowledge of broad unifying themes
among different cultures, and to examine the relationships that gender,
ethnicity and class bring to any society and/or any culture. You may
have an idea based upon a newspaper article. For example, the
controversy about the Washington Redskins team name is back in the news;
the proposed Keystone XL pipeline from Canada would go across sacred
Sioux Indian lands; any current theatre production, or historic
theatrical production of note, etc.
Ideas will be submitted in writing to instructor for approval. No group writing assignments.
Papers
should reflect thorough understanding, so conduct extensive research.
The Establish the credentials of your sources, and ensure that you have
enough information to write your paper. Avoid using passive voice.Limit
personal opinion when drawing conclusions. Present evidence such as
scientific facts, statistics, expert opinion and documented testimony.
Present your reasons based on analogy, generalization, causes or leading
authorities to support your claims.
§ 3 page paper, double spaced, essay form, with cover page, stapled.

so that was the prompt, and the topic i was thinking about is the interaction between people from different cultures, what are the impressions, the stereoytpes, how people react to certain things. I'd like as well to use some reference from my own experience since I'm an international student, also some references from the movie "Crash" since it talks about cultures and how people treat one other,
that's my main idea, i'll talk to you more in the chat box about some details that i'd like you to touch on.
