English HW

1.Write a Journal entry in which you recall a fight you had with a sibling or a friend - similar to what happened between Jem and Scout in chapter 14.
Describe the fight. What caused it? How was it resolved? Did it bring you closer? If you've never been in a fight, make up the story!

In your journal you must include the following: At least 2 of our new vocabulary terms; and also use Alliteration in your writing.

Alliteration is a stylistic writing technique. It is the repeptition of a particular sound in a sentence. For example, on page 18, Harper Lee writes:

"..we would squirm our way through the sweating sidewalk crowds..." In this example the "S" sound is repeated in the words Squirm, Sweating, Sidwalk. Alliteration will give your writing a little poetic flair. Of course, do not overuse this technique.
