Encryption Specialist?

I'm trying to figure something out. I already know the password. How is it being encrypted though?

Given Hash: 3362C40C86C751E5B4634E39215B51E2
Secondary Value: À¨SOH¾y9#DC1ÆSTX
My editor highlights SOH DC1 and STX

These two things used together allow the password "yesidid" to function.
If you remove the secondary value.. the password fails to operate.
If you remove the given hash, the password prompt fails to display itself... unles other characters are present.


The normal md5 hash for the password seems to be: 20f6062c540ffd116719ae8bfd1dfab7

Can you teach me how to solve this? With or without software. Either or. 

Is this md5 with salt?
