In order to judge a specific taxation for validity you would have to know how and why the taxation was formulated. It should be detailed information in order to back up the reason for the taxation so it could be presented to the public. In order for adequacy to occur the reason for taxation should be done by someone capable so that there won’t be a sudden increase due to the taxation not covering the reason for it in the first place. So that the taxation is a viable recommendation and to be Equitable the taxes should be divide up so that everyone is being charged equally. For it to be exportable the data should be divided up among all pertinent departments requesting the increase in taxation. Those presenting and executing the taxation should remain unbiased or in a neutral position so they don’t interfere with the process. Any and all supporting documentation should be devised in simple forms so it is understood by those presenting and voting for the taxation.
There are numerous types of tax revenue systems such as inheritance, corporate, land, payroll and sales etc. At the moment, I don’t think there is a better tax revenue system that the U.S. could utilize. Some forms of taxation such as the wealth tax is being discussed.
Taxes are used in order to support political parties’ election campaigns. Often one party will try to use a specific tax system/suggestion as a basis of argument against the other party. Political issues and taxes are just used to try to win votes. Politicians know if you lower one tax you will have to raise another to keep the balance or cut a program and face the consequences of that. No new taxes means more taxes are coming your way because two things in life are for sure you will be taxed and you will die.
I do not agree with the flat tax because it does not allow for you to utilize specific deductions and everyone is taxed at the same rate. Some people need the lower tax rates and some people should pay a higher tax rate. The system could be better but to change it would hurt this country more I think.

Hello professor and class,
In the words of Oliver Wendell Holmes “I like to pay taxes with them I buy civilization”. A good tax must be simple to understand, and not too complicated. I would expect it to be simple and convenience for me to pay without over stressing myself. Planning is important so taxes should be regular enough so that one can plan in advance on how and when to pay without it distorting other economic behavior. It should be same for all persons with the same characteristics in income level. Taxes should be done in way that it would satisfy everyone based on the service that it’s directed towards. Taxes support government activities such as providing care for the elderly, providing education, support healthcare, and fighting terrorism with good protection.
Adequacy, Equity, Exportability, Neutrality and Simplicity.
Taxes should be adequate enough to generate enough revenue for the provision of essential service to the public. It should be fair and same for all persons in the same income or economic circumstances; it should be equal across the same level. Taxes should not favor one group over the other; it should not selective must neutral to all races or color. Taxes should be simple to understand and not complicated to figure in anyway. Exportable taxes are paid by non-residents. Non residents pay taxes as tourist when they shop in store or when they ride on transportation provided by the state other their own.
What role do taxes play in political issues?
Taxes have always been used by politicians to convince voters that they know what they are feeling in situations where they feel that citizens are in need of tax relief. They say these wonderful things about taxes that citizens want to hear such reduction of taxes for low income and tax break for the rich. Most times citizens are caught between political parties or politicians playing politics with their future.
New flat tax.
Some people belief that high tax discourages productivity and growth and making it difficult for business in America to compete globally. They believe that the current tax system is far too complicated that ordinary Americans cannot figure it out. They also think that the current system is not economically neutral. The new flat rate is suggested to replace sales tax, income tax, death tax and other taxes, that all these taxes should be replaced by just one tax for everything for individuals, families and businesses. Though, they feel that doing this (one Tax Flat rate) would encourage growth and job creation. My opinion is that one flat tax rate would be too complicated and would not encourage neutrality or equity. I would still like to see some reduction in taxes across all sectors that i believe it would genuinely encourage job creation and economic growth.
